Introduction to Photoshop: Monday evening class, 7.30-9.30pm.
In this 10 week course the student is introduced to the fascinating world of digital image manipulation using Adobe Photoshop. Students will explore the concepts of digital manipulation and how these can be applied to their photographs. Using pre-planned exercises the student will learn about different manipulation methods and how these are used to achieve the results required. The course also explores non photographic applications within Photoshop such as Text, Graphic Design and File Import/Export options.
As the course progresses and the students’ skill base grows students are encourages to bring their own images to class and explore image manipulation options that will enhance their work. .
On completion of the course students will be able to critically assess an image, both visually and technically, recommend and carry out the process needed to achieve the outcomes they have envisioned. They will be able to develop and use efficient workflows which allow them to achieve consistent results in their work.
